Terrorist attorneys force some doctors to quit

Physicians essential to the health and well-being of many patients are being forced to leave Arizona. The cost of malpractice insurance has again become unbearable.

"Again" because there was a similar occurence in the 1970s. Traditional insurance companies raised their rates so much, the State and its doctors formed Arizona's MICA. With this physician-run, mutual insurance company rates were brought down to a manageable level.

Now even MICA is pricing some providers out of business.
