In our Latest Clinical and Yo'Doc columns we've discussed the recent nationwide flap over removal of drugs from the market after they have been in use. Why didn't / doesn't the FDA have better control over drugs once they are in common use?

There are those who would put all the blame on the FDA. Rising to the defense of that agency, here's a man with some experience.
